The Two Questions Everyone Has
Will I get charged at the border, and will it be obvious what is in the box. Both have straightforward answers, and neither is usually the thing that actually causes problems.
Duties: Usually Nothing in the US
US buyers typically pay no import fees on a doll order. That is the normal case and it is one of the reasons the US is a comparatively easy destination.
For reference, other destinations differ: Canada may charge GST or HST, the UK typically charges VAT, the EU may apply VAT depending on the shipping arrangement, and Australia applies GST on orders over $1,000 AUD.
Because rules change and individual shipments vary, ask us to confirm for your specific order rather than treating the general case as a guarantee. We would rather give you a number in advance than have you meet one at the door.
Clearance: Expect Silence
This is the part that generates the most anxiety and the least actual risk. International shipments commonly show no tracking movement for three to seven days while clearing customs. The page just sits there. Nothing is wrong.
The threshold worth acting on is ten days with no movement. At that point contact us and we will chase it. Before that, silence is the process working normally.
Dolls are legal adult products in the US. Inspection is possible on any international shipment, but it is not a special risk for this category.
What Actually Arrives
A large, heavy, plain shipping carton. No branding identifying the contents, no product imagery, and a generic sender name on the label. The discreet shipping guide covers the packaging in detail.
The practical issue is not what the box says. It is the size and weight of it. Plan for that in advance:
- Will it fit through your door and up your stairs? Full-size doll crates are bulky
- Can you move it alone? If you are on an upper floor without a lift, arrange help before delivery day
- Who else might receive it? A signature requirement is protection, but it also means someone has to be there
If any of that is awkward, a lighter doll materially changes the experience. Something in the mid-20s like 150cm E-Cup STPE at 27 lbs is a genuinely different logistics problem from a 49 lb doll, both on arrival day and every time you move her afterwards.
Transit Times
For the US and Canada, in-stock dolls typically move in 2 to 7 business days once shipped. Custom orders ship 7 to 14 days after production finishes, and production itself runs 2 to 4 weeks. The full order timeline breaks down each stage.
Shipping is usually free for full-size dolls to major destinations. Remote-area surcharges exist, so if you are somewhere rural or outside the contiguous states, confirm your address before ordering rather than assuming the standard case applies.
On Arrival
Open it somewhere private, photograph her before doing anything else, and check her over against your order. Documentation from the first hour is worth far more than a description written later. Our first 48 hours guide covers the sequence.
